You can build the Towers though, to build one, just drive and sit on one of those round... uhh whatever they call it .... there are like round platforms to go on, and make a Tower.

Those round things are called Nodes (for the Network Hack) and the towers are really NPC turrets that are meant to be like a guard for the node its on, BTW I don't suggest you make one, it takes Forever just for it to come up, either that or idk how to make it pop into existence.

I believe madjack has said that you can't complete a tower node at all. You can capture a node, but can't finish the tower. You need a friendly AI tank to complete it for you.

As for the original post, fortresses are made automatically by the lifters as soon as you put a glyph in the hub. You have no control over how fast or how it is built though.

However, TU2 is supposed to have a level editor, which will be great fun.
